An exceptional, William IV, Sienna chimneypiece of architectural design
An imposing and decadent architectural antique fireplace of exceptional quality yet simple design, constructed of solid Sienna marble of late Regency style, probably of William IV date. With tiered rectangular shelf, plain frieze and wide pilaster jambs, the opening framed to the sides with concave shaped panels. An interesting minimalistic style chimneypiece using the colours of the Sienna to advantage. This fireplace serves as a precursor to the new era of modernism through simplicity of parred down design.
